Dr Atuahene, the Director General of the Ghana AIDS Commission is a public health specialist with 27 years of proven experience in reproductive health programme design and management. Prior to his appointment into this position in July 2018, he was the Director of Research, Monitoring and Evaluation of the Commission, a position he held for nearly 11 years. Dr Atuahene, has PhD in Public Heath from the University of Ghana School of Public Health. He holds a Master’s degree in Applied Population Research from the University of Exeter, United Kingdom.
As a critical Sector of the economy, the Ministry of Health seeks to improve the health status of all people living in Ghana thereby contributing to Government’s vision of universal health coverage and a healthy population.
